Enameling
Spray Enameling of Cabinets and Trim
Everyone loves the smooth look and feel of Enamel. Most people don't realize that enameling is a process and not just a paint coating. Every surface must undergo layers of spray and many passes of sanding. The average process would be as follows: Sand the surface, spray Primer, Sand the surface again, caulk, patch dings, sand patches, spot prime patches, spot sand patches and then spray the entire surface with Enamel. This is clearly a large amount of work, but definitely worth the reward.
Enamel can be applied to many surfaces:
Cabinets
Trim
Tables
other wooden Furniture
Surface Repair
Nothing is worse than a crack in the wall... except maybe a big patch of delaminating paint. Regardless if you have one or the other, it can be repaired. This sometimes requires re-attaching loose or buckeling plaster to the wooden lath. With the right procedure, the cracks can be secured and then filled out to a smooth finish. When needed, I personally tend to use plaster washers to mechanically anchor the loose (but stable) plaster back to the lath before I patch.
Surfaces I can repair:
Wall and Ceiling crack repair
Popcorn ceiling removal
Hole repair (from electrical or plumbing installation or repair)
Some surface texture matching *
Faux Finish Fixes
There are times where the best solution is to create a new surface and blend the paint or stain to look like the original material. One example I have come across often is when the room has beautiful stain trim, except for one piece that someone has painted (or was damaged heavily). While it could be completely replaced and then stained, the easier solution may be to patch it, paint it and then glaze a stain to simulate the original wood grain of the other trim in the room.
Trim Installation
You may want to update your home with new trim! I offer a specialty service of Painting and installing trim all under one roof. You can select your color and the trim profile and I can spray, cut, install and finish the whole project.
Wall and Ceiling Painting
Expert Paint application goes hand in hand with preparation. Sometimes walls and ceilings only need a quick coat of paint, other times the surface needs some fine tuning or an overhaul. I can give it exactly what it needs!
